What is left when nothing is left? Can you truly conquer something that resists until the end?

The Hollow Land is a new dance piece by Ukrainian choreographer, civil activist, and European Charlemagne Youth Prize recipient Anastasiia Krasnoshchoka.

The piece takes its point of departure in the Russian destruction of the Kakhovka Dam in southern Ukraine, where floodwaters swallowed cities, landscapes, and memories. In a time marked by climate crisis and wars, dance becomes a language of resistance where grief and hope can exist side by side.
